Friends Forever - Playground Fun

These two are pretty much adorable beyond all measure! I was on my way to Texas, stopping by a friends in Oklahoma, and when I saw Brookelynn and Sasha playing “out back” I couldn’t resist scrambling for my camera and taking about a million shots! Here are a few highlights. We had the time of our lives playing house, (yes I crawled into the house to have “dinner” ) playing with the dog, riding bikes, playing in the pink sand box, and the grand finale…. (drum role please) …feasting on nerds! Yumm

"West Side Market" - A Cleveland Treasure

My awesome sister-in-law and I spent the afternoon at West Side Market in Cleveland yesterday. It had been over a year since I was there. I was reminded of how much I love it! The smells, the sights, the sounds… the food! We wondered around the market, a local book store, and an art gallery. We then had coffee at a quaint old place that could never be defined anything less than “timeless.” Among our purchases were: 1. Dried fruit (a personal favorite of mine) 2. Fresh bread 3. Cheese 4. Black Current Tea 5. Biscotti 6. Fresh Pasta (which Jaime bought) and 7. Books (also a purchase of Jaime) Most of all - I loved spending time with my sis-in-law.

"Chicago" - A Photographer's City

The great thing about Chicago is that it's overcast some 80% of the time. That means a lovely cloud overhang serves me every time I go so that almost any time of the day is "photographer time" - no harsh shadows because of the glaring sun. One of my favorite cities and probably one I have visited the most, these are shots from a semi-recent trip. Already in my head I am planning another visit... hmm let see, April? May? Nope... I just might have to wait until fall :)

"Silent Beauty" - Ohio Winterland

Being outside... need I say more :) Such a beautiful winter day but with a storm coming in - perfect for a photo shoot. So I scrambled over briar and brush to capture what I can only say is silently breathtaking and sadly very easily overlooked. And so, my soul is sitting in a happy place right now because I feel as if I found a secret :)... but oops, not any more... I am sharing it with you! To the beauty of winter...

"Boys and Bikes" - Archives

I just love these boys! Spending the afternoon photographing them last fall was a breeze. They were so dynamic and different in such great ways, it was a pleasure getting to capture a little bit of it. These shots were taken right before the family moved to Zambia Africa and since they were dear friends of mine - I miss them dearly. The next time they’re home, however, you can bet that I will have camera in hand - ready not to miss the next season of their lives : )
